App check: Flixster [non-legal][movies]

Each month I highlight web or mobile apps that are useful to lawyers. Sometimes the apps are developed specifically for lawyers and other times are non-legal apps that are nevertheless interesting to lawyers.

Today’s app is Flixster. If you like movies, then you’ll like Flixster. This app provides you with everything you need to know about movies currently playing in the box office and also provides a ton of useful information about movies released on DVD.

Flixster tells you the showtimes of movies playing nearby and also provides reviews, both from viewers and critics, along with descriptions of the movies and video trailers. You can even buy tickets through the app from participating theaters.

And, last but not least, you can stream movies right from the app and view and manage your Netflix queue as well.

All in all, if you’re a regular movie-goer, this is a great app. It provides a vast array of information and streamlines the movie viewing experience.
